1.Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki: Kansai Style v. Hiroshima Style! It’s the big debate. which style okonomiyaki is better. If you have read my other pages, then you have to know that my love for noodles is like no other. Hiroshima Style Okonomiyaki is distinct because of the yakisoba noodles that it is fused with. Okonomiyaki is like a Japanese savory pancake topped with cabbage, green onions, bean sprouts, pork belly, red ginger, and okonomiyaki sauce.
2.Kaki (oysters): Hiroshima is the top oyster producing city in Japan. With six rivers running through the city, there is an abundance of fresh oysters caught daily. Hiroshima oysters are known for its rich flavor, juiciness, and above average in size.
3.Momiji Manju: These are maple leaf shaped cakes that make very popular souvenirs. Red bean was the original flavor, but custard cream, green tea, chocolate, and a variety of other flavors can be found as well!
